This is where your path breaks down against the contract language and real world that actually exists. Why would management want to "gift" us this piece? They were the ones that wanted it in the first place! Explain in detail how you make it happen, please.
Again, I am told management came to ALPA. I am making an educated guess it was because:
  1. Flow does not work
  2. Delta needs to have a say in hiring Delta pilots
  3. It is more efficient to operate Compass at mainline
  4. Delta needs operational control
  5. Compass would have greater operational flexibility at mainline
I don't have any idea how serious a proposal it was.

I answer your questions for you to poke at, how about you answer a few of ours.

1. What harm is it to guarantee Delta pilots they will have Delta jobs if they flow down?
2. What benefits are there to unity?
3. Why are we against unity, or at least unwilling to pursue unity?
4. Why is our MEC against scope restoration?
5. When the majority of Delta pilots want action on restoring Delta flying to Delta, why is our MEC against them?
