Joe Williams, director of public relations for for Colgan Air, said the Manchester flights are profitable as far as he knows.

"I have checked and, no, those are strong routes and we are committed to those markets and plan to fly them," Williams said yesterday"

"But US Airways Express service to Hyannis, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard will not be affected, said Joe Williams, a spokesman for Pinnacle Airlines, the parent company of Colgan Air, which operates the daily Cape and Islands flights to and from LaGuardia.

"I checked with our scheduling group and their response was, 'No, we're not giving anything up on those routes,'" Williams said yesterday. "Those are strong routes for us.""
