Not all life insurance companies will insure military pilots during war.

USAA will, but the rates depend on the aircraft you fly. (i.e. the risk)

For example:

KC-135 < C-17 < F-15E

Navy pilots have the highest rates due to their high incidences of fatal syphilis.
