Easy fix to those kinds of issues....a quick explanation of why your rates have increased when you expected them to go down would go a long way to ease one's mind.

I tried to finace one house through USAA...wont bother trying again...the rates were not even remotely close...as far as the homeowners insurance...much cheaper with excellent service from a competitor. I do have my current auto policies through them but will be checking around when I get home from Iraq.

About 20 years ago I tried to insure my bass boat wih USAA, they refused, said it went too fast...so I got a tip about Boat/US...fantastic company, great rates, excellent service for these past 20 years. USAA tried to get me back last year even though I have a newer, much faster boat...rates again couldn't compete with the company I left them for 20 years ago. No thanks. 20 years and a lot premiums lost.

I like USAA but they are not the company they were when my father, (USAA member of many decades) reccomended them to me when as I followed him in the AF.
