Another bankrupt airline?.....Or to get that west coast revenue pumped up(stagnated for years) because of market saturation and no new markert opportunities...Jump in with Alaska.
Similar situation as Frontier but not a desperate grab at a possible deal --takes away a much stronger competitor in many overlapping markets. Gains Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska destinations.

Horizon not a problem - great operation in it's own niche. Already shown the regional feeder scenario not a showstopper (Lynx).
Great employees with similar seniority and culture.
Prevents American/Jet Blue/Airtran/Delwest etc.
Outside of the box to the left when everyone is looking to the right.
