There will always be NDs around. We need to get used to it.
Let's not crash the retirement we have because someday you and I will need it. What we should focus on is the change agenda we bring to the table next year. Pay and work rule adjustments should be focused on improving the life during the early years and flatten out toward the end. The NDs are staying because the benefits keep coming. If they come to realize it isn't worth working til death, maybe they will leave.
