Because I got in towards the end of the hiring boom (late 2007), and I had to think about my family, our house that were $150k upside down on,(so we can't sell it), and the ability to stay on the west coast. I was offered several jobs around the same time, but my primary goal was to be able to be based as close to phx as possible. I'm not some 20 yr old kid who can just go wherever. From my perspective, this was merely a stepping stone to better things, obviously things have changed quite a bit but I will say, although Mesa has their issues, so does every other regional.. Other than pay, I've actually had very little to complain about and love the people I work with. I agree things need to change in this industry but what's the answer? Your guess is as good as mine...
