This entire thread is as unfruitful and pointless as a "My airline is better than your airline" thread, you will not convince one another of anything and at the end of what looks to be another 26 pages of argument the pro living in the US will sound like
I can tell you're an "arbeiderparti" or "socialistisk venstre" kool-aid drinker (both very liberal, socialism leaning parties).
and the pro living in Europe will sound like.
In the meantime, try and do all of the rest of us open-minded Americans a favor, and not perpetuate the obnoxious, intolerant, and ethno-centric stereotype of the USA.
The simple truth is that there are Americans, Europeans, Asians, Arabs, Africans and everything under the sun that love to have a Walmart around the corner and there are others that don't care for Walmart at all, agree to disagree gentlemen and move on
