Because time and time again it has been shown that pay reductions do not save jobs. If NetJets is overstaffed by 200 pilots (I'm making that number up) and reduces everyones pay by 15%, the company is still overstaffed by 200 pilots. I don't believe that there are many companies out there that wouldn't look to the overstaffing issue if further cuts were required regardless of whether the pilots took a pay reduction. I further believe that this is the sentiment of many of the pilots in this group and that concessions are not going to happen in the near future.
