The lack of crew meals don't bother me. I know my place since I have a "lack of PIC authority" and would never delay a flight if my crew was hungry (not). I don't know where he got that one from.

I have delayed many flights to go eat. Not once did I ever hear a word about it. If they get enough delays perhaps they will put a better crew meal policy in place.
