We at mainline believe that one or more DCI's will benefit from the USAir gate swap. All those cities in the NE can not handle mainline A/C loads. Comair is our high cost DCI as they have so many folks on the upper pay scales and their on-time performance has not been stellar to sway the least. Now they have been set-up for failure being hubbed at JFK. Come SOC in January things will get interesting for all of us.
We're not being set up for failure up in JFK. Delta wanted us up there so we can take all the coordinated cancellations that Delta can dish out. That was Freedom's downfall and why they're now operating out of CVG. They have a bad habbit of renigging on coordinated cancellations and then flying the aircraft empty and charging Delta for them as Four Hour Late Departures. Then after Delta cancelled their ERJ contract Freedom refused all coordinated cancellations and operated those flights against Delta's wishes. That got their CRJ-900 contract cacelled and they were sent packin to CVG. Delta doesn't have to deal with any contractual limitatations with Comair. Delta runs the show and we do whatever we're told to do.
