It only took me about 45 to get to the checkride, and that was rushing for me (hence why I failed it the first time). don't let an instructor force a checkride on you if you don't feel comfortable and ready for it. checkride failures are getting looked at more heavily thanks to Capt Renslow at Colgan. Everyone learns at a different pace, but once you make it to the airlines and they start fire hosing you, you will need be ready to take it all in quickly. Keep at it A320, you'll be alright
