Not quite.
I assume you are refering to:
'a scab
“is a man who goes in to take the place of his fellow man who is working for better conditions.” Scabs, he added, have “always been ready to take the benefits that flow from organized labor and never been willing to fight to obtain them”'
At my airline we have CRJs because we gave half our seats away to furloghed Mainline guys.
CAL's scope clause allows RJs only up to 50 seats. I'm fairly certain that CAL is the only Legacy to hold that line.
Eagle may have more flowbacks in the left seat than guys they hired.
Comair struck for what, a month? They certainly fought for thier benefits... and we all benefit from their actions.
Nobody driving a prop has taken anything away from a mainline guy.
But GoJets is an alter ego airline. They are doing work at concessionary wages that Trans States pilots refused to accept. And Trans States is not exactly the highest paying carrier out there. They are taking flying directly away from TSA pilots, for lower wages.
And that is scabing.
