I'd choose Brown.
When hiring starts again it will be more robust and career progression will be better at Brown. They have a very optimized schedule already, so I'm told. At purple, the 3 to 2 man conversion continues and the coming 777 will also improve pilot scheduling efficiency. It may not replace the MD11, but it will most certainly put a dent in their schedules. We still have crewmembers from the DC-10 sitting on their couches at home waiting for training. Not to mention the steady optimization of all airplane schedules.
I'm betting the Brown part time schedules don't save as much $$ as the lower line averages at Purple. But it probably doesn't need to either.
