Thats funny we are told something different. Plus SWAPA tried contacting FAPA 3 times without any response.

Every F9 pilot I have spoken to would have been perfectly happy to go to arbitration, and I bet most WN pilots would have been opposed to it. That alone speaks volumes for what SWAPA wanted. SWAPA's offer was the equivalent of DL offering to staple NW pilots to their list because DL's pay scale was higher.

DL and NW are slightly different then SWA and F9, you were either joking with this or just not very bright.

Are you one of the three F9 pilots that I've met (out of about 100) who feel that way?

I take it we won't be seeing you back here then? I'd like to see you taken care of in an SLI, but I understand if you don't want to come back.

WN only wanted 40 of our 51 airplanes, and would only have taken enough pilots to staff them, and not guaranteed any SWAPA representation for the furloughed pilots. EVERY F9 pilot would have had recall rights even those on furlough at F9. Once on the property SWAPA pilots would have doen everything possible to prevent furlough. Who feeds you guys this junk? FAPA. What will the RAH guys do for you if it comes down to it? Pretty easy to answer that one. Plus the plans were for growth and still is. WE will have to see.(i.e. probably no recall rights). Thus, QOL and earnings for the furloughed pilots, not to mention the other 4000 employees would have been worse. I would have been fine, but you can color me Christian - I'll do unto others, and not just watch out for myself.

I agree with the first three sentences, but I think that the SWAPA guys would have been better off without us to compete against, and with a DEN domicile, even if their relative seniority was unchanged in a percentage merger. And how much better for F9 would it have been? Can you say windfall. Why is it ok for one and not the other? I have it on good authority that IF F9 would have negotiated with SWAPA. A feather intergration into the FO list would have been an option. That way F9 guys would have their QOL, pay protected, base, bidding ability and benefits. The down side all SWAP members would upgrade before any F9. But in the end F9 qol would have been drastically improved.

Make me the 4th.

Actually, captains would have been returned to pre-concessionary rates, so something like a 15% pay raise.

I'd rather take my chances with RAH at the front end of something that might be very big one day, than be on the bottom of a mega-airline that has pretty much tapped out all the major markets in the US now (except ATL and MSP). To the Chicken Littles out there who say that F9 will get the same deal as YX - Midwest, regrettably, was shrinking like crazy before RAH came along. F9 is a "Whole Different Animal", and I hope we can bring the YX guys along for the ride.

Sorry I didnt really want to hash this up, but we can see how far off the stories are. Ill ask who has to save face to their union and who really doesnt?
