We parked 30 airframes (135s) in the desert on Oct 1, 2008. We furloughed 347 as a result of that.
Concurrent with that (and what I was referencing), the Union allowed the company to offer Reduced Flying Lines. They company awarded MANY long-term 40/60 hour lines to guys, essentially making them instant relief line holders, while people hundreds of numbers senior to them are on reserve. They can also pick up advertised trips and build their line up to 80-90+ hours every month. Just ask one of the union guys...he's doing it!
