Use your head for a minute. They like the RFLs because it gives them flexibility with slower months (like OCT for example). Right now every month is a slower month with the lower block hours compared to 2007 levels. Even with 10 planes flying 12-13 hrs a day for UAL in the summer we still had guys on RFLs, meaning we were still overstaffed. They would not allow 40-60 hr lines during peak travel season AND recall at the same time, that would be an added cost to a company that is still losing money every quarter. It does not make business sense to allow some to be a part time employee and have to recall, I wish you guys the best and hope you get back here soon but 20 airplanes will not bring back recalls. 30-40 new airplanes would require recalls, I don't know where you get your information. I get my information straight from GS who told myself and a bunch of others in recurrent this exact thing I'm telling you. Pray for 40-50 new airframes and you will most likely need to be recalled...........otherwise it will be a long time (until captains start leaving again, and at least 200+ will need to leave) before we start recalling.
