Scoop,

I don't mind flying some domestic trips. Looking at the open time for November, it looks like we lost bunch of Hawaii flying to CVG and ATL. Here's a question. If you are in an ER category but flying a "domestic" trip, do you still sit 24 hour short call? Inquiring minds and all......

The International Categories sit 24 SC. The ER is international so all reserves can sit 24 hr SC. There is nothing in the PWA to make scheduling determine who is an international pilot and who is a domestic pilot. Basically at 12+01 on SC you turn in to a domestic pilot.

I see this as an issue, and one that we need to address. I know of one or two that have called in fatigued at 12+00 and some for an international trip claiming fatigue. Got up at 0630 at the start of SC and did not rest prior to the call out. They were fatigued no doubt about it, but some thing that you need to be sleeping until the phone rings!
