Pilots here have realized that selling out the flying that pays less is hurting them. There has been a course reversal in the way pilots here think. They realize that if they look at the pocket book and not scope, then before long you will not have either. Many get this.
I "get this"...I "got it" before many at Delta...I simply don't trust you or DALPA to look out for MY best interests...Only an idiot would...

ALPA did screw this up beyond belief...and continue to screw it up to this day...Taking my job doesn't "restore unity"....How can you say that with a straight face? If you want to believe that my job belongs to you, and you can do what you want with it...That's fine....but don't do that and feed me this "unity" BS....

As I have pointed out, the life style etc does not compare. But when it comes to the career expectations when you or I walked though the door at ASA. I was hoping for a few years on the 120 and then to DAL. These RJ's changed that. It was a decade, and now that I am here, everything is about five to ten years farther away.
When I hired on at ASA, we didn't have the 146s, and it took 15 years to hold ATR captain at 60 bucks an hour. When I hired on, a senior ASA pilot could make almost as much his first year at Delta as he was making at ASA. He could make more his second year...Times have changed....

I do not want to fight you, and will not fight you. For someone you who hates everything ALPA stands for, may be you should work the rest of your professional life fixing it. In effect separating yourself from it becomes part of the problem.
You want my job...You want me to start over again at the bottom making less to do my current job...It isn't personal....It's business...I'm doing what is best for me, and you are doing what is best for you...Nothing personal here...
