Sure we can draw a line in the sand and say no more but as soon as we do we have a new GoJets pop up and the race continues. The solution starts at the top. If they stopped giving away scope and switching regional feed carriers every couple years it would put us regional guys in a much better position to negotiate better rates and work rules. Until mainline stops we will all live in fear of management starting a new carrier with a bunch of new bushy tailed jet course kids waiting to take the job or losing our contracts to another lower bidder because their "costs are more inline with todays market conditions".
