reading all the comments...made me realize one thing...the derregulation act of 1978 has been a complete failure. that and code-sharing. if we still had the cab etc. airlines like ozark, southern, western would still be around...in general domestic flying would be mainline and therefore pilot salarys much higher, a lot of small cities that have lost much or all airplane service...would still have mainline jet service...fares might be a little higher, but service would be much better. airlines would not be selling 75% of their seats at below cost....
