But even with our heavy China flts and all the additional flts added to OT we're still waaaay overstaffed? Come on! Is FDX really THAT much better than us? And we're still JA'ing too! Hmm, kinda hard to do that when you're overstaffed.

I'll glady take half pay for the periods I signed up for and enjoy the next 2 summers on the boat. But it sure would be nice to hear something besides doom and gloom all the time (from the union no less) about my job security.

What even makes me wonder more is that the last # we heard from UPS is up to 300. Now our own union is telling us that we're even more overstaffed? Dude! I thought they were the ones who had our back! So even though I've moved up at least 50 numbers since earlier this year and the economy is improving, we somehow got even more overstaffed?

It just really makes it hard to buy it this time. I'll gladly put in for some more time off, but at some point the mortgage and bar bill still have to get paid. Funny that the amount we saved the company earlier this year got paid as a bonus to one top exec. Things that make you go hmmmm
Ask any of your buds at FedEx about their reduced guarantee and how they feel about that. Their reduced pay is mandatory and across the board. Ours is voluntary.

Two parts of our contract that I would like to give "concessions" on are a lowering of our credit cap and no opentime pick up. But that would require a vote and we all know it would not pass.
