I understand that California is a different beast than the rest of the US, but there is that factor of reverse discrimination that cannot be discounted. It really needs to swing a bit back to the best qualified candidate.

I am not totally against affirmative action, but I think that there are some flaws in the affirmative action concept that are divisive and harmful.
