Thats exactly the kinds of examples I am talking about. A lot of young minority kids have no hope inthis country and they need to see examples that they can suceed in their goals. Thats what OBAP is all about.

Another point about Affirmative action. Lets say two white guys are going for a job and the employer happens to favor ne over the other lets say they were in the military together. the other guy coupl file an affirmative action complaint.

If I own a company and a gay guy comes to interview and he is fully qualified and I dont hire him because I dont like gay people, he could file an affirmative action complaint.

Thats the whole reason for AA. Its not just to hire blacks that arent qualified. But the truth of the matter ie employers hire who they feel comfortable with. If youand me like the same things or hangout at the same places, belong to the same fraternity I am more likely to hire you even if youarent the best qualified person. Thats what Affirmative action is for to combat that kind of thing.
