Just a quick statement. I was a professional 'box thrower' at fed-ex around 94-96 or so. There were PLENTY of guys out there with NO P.I.C. Supposedly, after Fed banged up a few planes they upped the P.I.C. requirement to 500. After a few more bang-ups, they upped it to it's current 1000 P.I.C. A lot of guys at the Memphis A.N.G. were hurt by that. I was tossing boxes to survive back then, not to get an interview. When I tossed boxes for fed, all you needed was 1000 SIC. Don't take my word for it, though, ask somebody that has been there for years.

I have no reason to doubt you. It doesn't change the fact that FedEx will not waive that requirement for anybody based on race/sex. Anybody who applies there has actaully demonstrated that they have been in command of a turbine (or very heavy) recip aircraft. Unlike some other carriers.
