Has anybody here ever participated in Defensive Pistol competitions, a la IDPA type stuff? The range I go to runs a local league modeled after IDPA style contests, and you can enter for $12. It sounds like it might be a fun way to practice and build proficiency/confidence with my weapon.
I got into that for a couple of times, but the guys around here at least were....well.....something else. All of them, of course, were ex-delta-ranger-snipers
- and hugely overweight - at least it was entertaining to see people that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with $2000 pistols
