Just wait until they really start to squeeze us in 2012...how much will you be willing to give then? If the company furloughs anyway, what will you be willing to give up to get them back? Pay? Benefits? Work rules?

Believe me, I think it is admirable that we are willing to sacrifice to keep our members on the job. But we should understand the potential ramifications of our altruism.
I did not give them anything. I took some much needed time away from work and they gave me their portion of my health care cost, I also accrued vacation, sick bank and A plan credit. I did all this without going anywhere near a UPS airplane.

Besides the obvious reasons of avoiding a furlough for the 300, my selfish reason why I want the MOU to continue is I really enjoyed this summer and I am looking forward to the rest of my JS an VLOA bid periods. I still don't get why so many here that continually compain about UPS don't get that this is an awesome oppurtunity to take some time away from work.

The MOU was an IPA invention not UPS's. Unless you think BM and the entire EB were in on some kind of conspiracy with UPS you should see the MOU as a huge benefit for all of the UPS pilots.
