All of my examiners barely even looked at the test scores.... my written scores weren't the best and some orals were hard... some weren't. I'm not sure that a 100 on a written really means anything other than memorizing/recognizing the study guide. I know a couple people that had 98s and 100s on writtens and failed the oral in 30 minutes.

Sometimes (I've heard) that some examiners don't mind seeing lower test scores because it means (or should mean) that the flight instructor spent extra time explaining the given subject.... rather than someone that guess on a few and got lucky or recognized the answer - but didn't understand why it was so.
