The lawsuits were such that anyone in the airlines long enough to remember porn in the O2 mask will also remember when you as the pilot that had nothing to do with it could become liable for porn in the cockpit. The rule at Continental's redheaded stepchild of an airline Coex (post Tammy Blakely) was that if a porn was found in a conspicuous place in the cockpit then the previous pilot was liable and could be terminated even if they didn't put it there.
This may be the stupidest thing I've head on this forum in a while. I would love to hear a union lawyer chime in on this one. It's one thing to fire me after proving that I violated company policy, but If I can be fired for something I didn't even do - then I'm not sure I'd be losing much by leaving anyway. Seriously, there's no way I am beleiving this.......... it's rediculous
And "Thank you" for pointing out the free-ness of porn on the internet. But, I'm pretty sure that it's not about really 'needing' to see porn that bad. It's more about camradrie, having a laugh, fun,................. nevermind. The fact that it needs to be explained means it probably can't be explained.
I swear some people want to work in a cockpit that sounds like a conversation from NPR.........
