No to a union. Every friend I have at union carriers (express, rah, mesa) hate the union. The friends at non-union carriers I have like not having unions. (Allegiant, Jetblue). How many of your firends who hate the union at their regional we there before there was a union? How many had to work prior to having a CBA? Many pilots at the regionals hate their union because they only see it as 2% less of their check and never had to work at a crap place without a union. You think it is bad with a union, try it without one. I work for Colgan and know how bad it is without a union.
As far as your other friends not wanting a union, well...even the worst major is better than the best regional.
