As far as ending the job search goes, I know how things can change. When I was in pilot training, all the instructors wanted to get hired by Eastern or Pan Am. Where are they now? More recently, I remember some squadronmates giving a guy grief for not leaving Netjets for American. He is now pretty senior at NJ and two of the guys giving him grief are still furloughed from AA.

All of my career I have been questioned by my seniors and peers about why I had interest in corporate aviation or fractionals instead of the legacy airlines. It seems that some have trouble understanding that not all people want to follow in their shoes and might have interests or reasons beyond their knowledge for wanting to try flying in another aviation industry segment.
