We all have a right to jumpseats. United Express carriers failed to recognize this when last year their js com's jointly produced a letter about their disgreement with United and how our cs agents determine priority. They were going to use their jumpseat as a weapon against United pilots unless their problem was fixed. A problem which the pilots of United had nothing to do with. The jumpseat is not a political tool, weapon, or a means to an end. It is a way that we as pilots can get to work, or home to our families. To that end, every pilot has a right to my jumpseat as long as they are courteous and respectfully ask.

You are correct that no one wins in a jumpseat war. Someone needs to explain that to the United Express carriers. They have threatened this crap twice in as many years. Maybe they think they have reached critical mass. Maybe they are mistaken.
My bad, I misread it completely.
