Personally, I couldn't care less what they did in the privacy of their own flightdeck. That's between them, their union, and their company.

However, the second they went blasting past their clearance limit with no attempt to comply with established NORDO procedures they fell under 14 CFR §91.13. Such an act fully warrants the wrath of the FAA as well as from their peers.
