Not really, they simply stated that after 2 years, they are tired of UAL not willing to solve the problem. Read the LAST part of the letter again. It wants UAL pilots to contact their reps and let them know what's going on, because the UAX JS chairs are doing nothing but banging their head against the wall trying to get it fixed.

See above.

So you don't care that pilot is not being given the JS on his OWN equipment?

Not really, they were simply tired of the problem that was going on, and wanted to bring it to the attention of the pilots. How long can you expect something like that to continue, with the JS chairs going through all the proper channels but to no avail? And what was the effect? Did it ever come down to the "war". NOPE, they FINALLY got it straightened out. Pretty sad what it took to get it straightened out, isn't it? But what do you expect when somebody is unwilling to change something? As far as the last part, is that MORE flame?

Yep, we all know the CA is, but the problem that was occurring that most people don't get was this; At locations where the plane is distant from the gate, and or the UAL/UAX gate agent is poorly trained, the UAX pilot was not even being given the OMC and able to walk down to see the CA, only the UAL pilot was. Now the UAX pilot is being denied the seat.
It will sound cold, but I could care less about the jumpseat snafu's at other carriers. I could care less how long it has been going on, and barriers in place to prevent a solution for that carrier.

We have our own set of distinct issues here at United. None of which you should care about. I will say that we just put 1450 pilots out on the street at the same time Glenn Tilton and the gang are exponentially growing the RJ fleet. Most are being furloughed for the second time. To that end, you won't find many here who care about the travails of the Express pilots. If a childish stunt threatening to ban us from the jumpseat is ever employed again, I can assure the Express pilots that the outcome might not be as pleasant.
