This is my annual Thanksgiving greeting to my APC family. It's been a rough year in the airlines and aviation world, but as a glass-half-full person, I believe things are right in the world and I have much for which to be thankful.
It's been a long and busy year: finishing college, surgery, student government, work, and every once in a while slipping the surly bonds of Earth. I don't aim to fly airline anymore (I think)...but I want to stay involved with aviation, maybe on the *gasp* regulatory side
. I have a hard time staying away from airplanes.
My family might actually be around for Thanksgiving...due to the sorry financial condition of the California State University we also have that entire week off, which will also make the November paycheck (they are also my current employer) lighter than normal. I think I may volunteer at a food bank...I feel compelled to do something.
I hope your schedules allow you to spend Thanksgiving at home with your family and loved ones.
And to those of you whose schedules don't - thanks, and respect for keeping the greasy side down, and here's hoping you see family, friends and loved ones sooner than later.
