I am not trying to get in the middle of the argument here, and I don't know the whole story of why you got fired Tony other than you didn't pass upgrade. I also like you as a person because you put it all out there and not afraid to speak your mind good, bad, or indifferent. Did you only get one chance, didn't pass, and fired as a result? I was in CRJ transition training the same time you were in upgrade. In the sim, my partner did not pass his checkride (upgrade) along with a few others in my class. Lots of them were transitions but a couple were not and we had the FAA sit in on about 90% of our rides. Everyone that was in my class kept there jobs after re-training and re-testing with the FAA sitting in the jumpseat on ever step. So what was the difference in your case or was there no differences? Someone else stated you must have done much more than fail (or whatever?) to lose your job and its a pass on upgrade or your out thing we have here, but I have not seen that be the case from my eyes yet (See story above) so I have to wonder along with the others and there comments. You may have already stated it here before and I missed it, but I just don't get it. Others have failed upgrade and still are here.....your unfortunately are not and I scratch my head? You should have been given the choice to go back to the right seat on the CRJ and all would have worked out but that is just my opinion. However, at that point would you have had to go through CRJ training again to go back, and the fact all classes after ours were canceled so there was no opportunity to do this so your got the boot? Some seem to get fired around here some do not, why, no clue there but there has to be some reason behind it all...there again maybe not...... its all SkyWest's choice anyway. If we did have a contract that had employment language in it I feel there would be much more constancy here with who stays and has to go, which I fully support! No contract no rights from my view! Sorry for the sidetrack and rant.
