Some things don't make sense to me about this:

1. If the FBI and Army Intel suspected he was making posts on extremist websites, why wasn't there further investigation?

2. Medical and Religious personnel fall into a different category under the Geneva Conventions and are considered 'non-combatants.' As such, they are afforded special conditions if captured, and should not be actively engaged in combat.

However, those protections are revoked if they do anything offensive...like shoot a weapon. (There may be a caveat that the shooting could be defensive, but I couldn't find it in a quick search...it's been a while since I've had the briefing).

So, why was a member of the Medical Corps being given weapons training? Or advanced weapon training?

3. If the authorities had suspicions about him, wouldn't that affect his security clearance? I would guess all docs must have at least a Secret clearance.

And if he lost his Secret clearance, wouldn't that stop him from getting weapons training?

AZ, if he even recovers, he will never feel remorse. They think they are answering a higher-calling...his only regret is he didn't kill more. I hope he recovers to live in excruciating physical pain...before they execute him, via firing squad, for treason.

Too bad we can't deal with him the same way the Italians did with Mussolini after WWII.
