Could he of been more smooth? Sure. Does being smooth equate to being a good leader? Not always. Nicholson was a smooth talker. That was 1 of the 2 reasons he got elected (the other being the a.b.b.m. mentality). He didn't turn out to be all roses. Just because Farley isn't a great public speaker doesn't mean he can't make good decsions leading the Union. Before everyone starts throwing the "what about the survey results" thing out there, everyone should re-read Magners post about the behind the scenes accomplishments Scott has made. That to me means a heck of alot more than perhaps a mistep with an email.
