It doesn't matter what the pilot groups want or wish for. It's up to Wall Street and the CEOs (and their egos) to determine who will be merged.

Management will use labor sentiment to bolster management's goals, just like the abortive Delta - Us Airways deal. If management does not want to play then there is no deal. Don't believe it goes the other way.
