One lesson is to NEVER get into a powerplay with a minor player (code enforcer whatever that is or some local 'barney' with a tiny badge) especially if you are in uniform or in an airplane. There is no upside in it.

As one person noted, it is far better to argue before a judge when wearing a coat and tie than a jumpsuit.
