I would suggest that every pilot put in a AE for where they want to be, and a MD for where they would be if they have the slightest chance of getting bumped. My bid sheet has 95 spots on it in all of the bases. I do it by percentage, not number or line holder.
If you want to be somewhere put in a VD as it will incur a seat lock.
Not quite sure what you mean here but a 330A cannot take a 320A's displacement thru a VD from the 320's category. Now if you are saying the 330A would take a VD out of his own category to the 320A thus bumping a 320A out, then I agree.
The second highlight is also a very good idea and every one should have these in as a standing bid just in case.
