Hey ACL, did we ever figure out how a "New Category" is defined? I'm assuming to the companies benefit, it would be any category that did not exist in the individual companies prior to SOC, e.i., SLC320 or MSP88. Although MEMDC9 seems like a new category to me, I would imagine contractually the company and DALPA would not consider this so? What's the read on this out there? Have not found this in print.

Yes, the current seats in a given base are not eligible for a move under a AE or a VD. Only new seats in existing bases, and or new bases.
So, no MEM9B is not a new seat to a four balled Tomcat!
