I agree there are always 2 sides of the story when dealing with the Police. But ignorance isn't an excuse for breaking the law. Signing the bottom of a ticket only states that you will either pay the tickets by the said date or show up for court to prove your innoncence. It is not an admission of guilt and what could have been solved in a simple court case 30 days from now has now balloned to charges that could cost him more than the money it would have to just pay the tickets.
