When AWAC took the concessions in 2003 it was simply to retain the flying that we already had with United. We were asked for concessions after MESA took thier POS contract which then made AWAC too expensive, which we fell for. The second time United came to us for concessions the pilot group told them to stick it. This resulted in the transition to US Airways while AWAC management kept in place the concessionary contract that was only to be in effect if the United flying was secure.
It warms my heart to see the pilot group still at AWAC is willing to hold the line.
Yeah, I know. I was at ACA during the UAL BK. We had to go through the same crap. With different end results.
