I'll stick my head in again..... If you really don't care which airline and you're not too worried about the conditions, you'll have options once you get residency. Despite all the negativity around, QF made about $500 million last year and they just announced this week that they expect to do better this year. The order for 787s is something like 45 firm, options take it to 65 and purchase rights takes it over 100. Geoff Dixon is on record as saying he expects the "Qantas Group" to eventually operate about 100 787s. New pilots are going to be required. The current conditions at Jet* are not good but they should improve over time- Rumour is that they are having difficulty attracting guys at the current pay offer. All up things are positive and are going to get better. Cheers, TDK
