Um....When seats were removed from the 757's for trans-Atlantic service, I'm pretty sure that there were no posts advocating reducing pay.
When the took seats out of the 737-800 no one advocated reducing pay either. However when they put them back in a bunch of pilots jumped on the bandwagon for more pay for the seat increase. Memories can be short and history is often rewritten to suit a given position.
