Ever thought of living overseas? There are some places where you can move into the right seat of a B737 or an A320. You'll have to " self fund" ( is the new way of saying pay for your training) your type rating however most places return the money after contract completion which is usually about 3 years.
You'll need to start looking in different Global resources for the jobs, but they're out there. Bear in mind that this is not for everybody, but for those that like it, it can be a rewarding experience.
I would love to know more about this. I've looked at a lot of contract pilot web pages and I'm not nearly qualified. I have about 2500TT and I can give you more details but working overseas seems to be a lot like finding Sasquatch. I'm serious about wanting to know more. I am very happy with my job here in the states but would love to work overseas and fly an airliner. I could always go back to charter when my contract was up.
