I understand your point Mr: Jetjock but the program here is not designed to be a witch hunt and indeed it is very effective in my view because it is an internal program that does bring the possibility of a crew member operating a flight while under the influence to virtually cero while having any individual that might be having a "problem" compelled to come forward and be helped, there are procedures to handle positive results that I cannot discuss in open forum but again it is all handled internally.
Would I trust a program like this in the hands of your brand X "us against you" type of airline? No! but it was just an example of how some airlines around the world have adopted alcohol testing programs in coordination with the pilot group with a degree of success.

We have programs in place. Yours is modeled after ours. It is internationally known as HIMS though each airline has a slightly different name. All airlines in the US have policies in place, trust me.
