From the beginning of negotiations I had expressed a desire to leave the A380 rates out of the contract. To me, there was no point in negotiating a payrate for an aircraft that would appear near the very end of our CBA.

Now that the 380 is definitely coming AFTER our CBA expires I think we should engage the company to spread those monies around the other fleet types on property.

It seems a huge waste that part of the "financial pie" was set aside for a jet that may never be here.
