Had the bose for years on the SAAB and CRJ's. I just ordered the Uflymike will let you know how it compares to the Bose X. My complaint about the "avaition" headset is that it is a bit bulky. On some of our 900's we have the box above the captain's seat that houses the Hud projector. The headset will catch on this if you move too much. Also on the battery box is a constant flashing green light that turns red if the battery is dying. Great to know but when you're flying at night the constant flicker will drive you nuts. I put a piece of black electrical tape over it. I've had to send it in to be repaired as well. The arm that hold ear cup wasn't build right. Specifically the one that has wiring on it. It cracks over time. The bose rep wanted to know if I dropped it, I hadn't, he didn't believe me. I've flown with many other pilots who have the same headset and when I told them about this they checked theirs. Sure enough there was a stress fracture crack in theirs, or they've had it break to. I swear the 200 hundred is louder than the 900. I'd still used earplugs with the bose on the SAAB and 200. 900 just the headset.
